“In the entire history of weather observations in the capital, December 3 has never been so snowy,” he wrote.
According to the weather forecaster, by 18:00 10 mm of precipitation fell in the capital, which is 0.6 mm more than on the same date in 1980. Leus emphasized that these are preliminary indicators, as the snowfall continues, and the final data will be taken after 21:00.
The Phobos representative clarified that the most precipitation fell in the city center, on Balchug, and in Dolgoprudny. There is 11 mm of precipitation there so far.
On December 3, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand , warned that in the coming days, abnormal cold weather will occur in 60% of Russia . He reported about worsening weather in the Siberian regions and Crimea, as well as in the Rostov region and Krasnodar region.
