[Regnum] Employees of the Samara regional department of the FSB prevented a terrorist attack on the Kuibyshev railway, the suspect was detained, the department's press service reported on December 27.
The arrest was carried out with the participation of the Omega SOBR of the Russian Guard. Security forces detained a local resident; according to the FSB, he supports the Ukrainian terrorist group “Russian Freedom Legion” (banned in the Russian Federation).
“During the investigation at his residence address, Molotov cocktails, computer equipment, as well as mobile devices used to communicate with coordinators were found and seized,” the press service said.
During interrogation, the detainee admitted that he was planning to commit a terrorist attack and spoke about his involvement in a terrorist group. The Samara District Court decided to take him into custody.
