Note: underlining by me " Police closed in on him by using an open-source image repository to search for the face of one of the children and then matched it with social media images shared by one of the women." In short the Fed's collect and use Social Media posted Pictures for investigative purposes. In this case they used it to track down the mother of the toddler from a posted Social Media image to nab this POS. Still, it does raise concerns of possible serious abuses in political agenda motivated hands. |
