#3  The account still exists, so it still could be compromised, though maybe not with this exploit. There was no recent session so no session token to regenerate

There was an exploit that allowed hackers to regenerate session tokens for your Google accounts even after you reset your password. Google has fixed it. If you are worried, log out of your Google accounts, delete all cookies, log back in and then reset your password. Also, you should be using 2-factor authentication.
