[Korrespondent] Soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces fight back against the invaders
Most of the attacks of the invaders on the front on February 29 were repulsed in the Novopavlovsky and Avdeevsky directions.
The Ukrainian military repelled 22 enemy attacks in the Avdeevsky and Novopavlovsky directions per day. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this in an evening report on Thursday, February 29.
During the day, 73 military clashes occurred at the front. In total, Russian troops carried out two missile and 79 air strikes, and carried out 90 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Defense Forces repulsed two enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Petropavlovka and Tabaevka, Kharkov region, where the Russians tried to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions.
In the Liman direction, 11 enemy attacks were repelled in the areas of the settlements of Terny, Yampolevka in the Donetsk region and Belogorovka in the Luhansk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled two attacks in the areas of the settlements of Ivanovskoye and Klishchievka, Donetsk region, where the invaders tried to improve their tactical position.
In the Avdeevsky direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed 22 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Berdichi, Orlovka, Tonenkoye, Pervomaiskoye, Nevelskoye in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to contain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Georgievka, Pobeda, Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense 22 times.
In the Orekhovsky direction, a Russian attack was repelled in the Robotinoye area of ​​the Zaporozhye region. In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not abandon his intention to dislodge Ukrainian units from their bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper. So, during the day, four assault attempts were made.
During the day, defense aviation carried out strikes on 10 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. Also, units of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed three Su-34 fighter-bombers.
Units of the missile forces inflicted defeat on two areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, three BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems, ammunition composition, and enemy electronic warfare equipment.
Let us remind you that over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have eliminated almost 1,200 Russian invaders. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the total losses of the Russian army have already amounted to about 413,760 invaders.
