During the day, 74 military clashes took place at the front. Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 enemy attacks in the Avdiivka direction. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this in an evening report on Friday, March 8.
In total, Russian troops carried out seven missile and 67 air strikes, and carried out 79 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces three times in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka and Kislovka, Kharkov region. In the Liman direction, soldiers repelled four attacks by Russians in the areas of the settlements of Terny and Spornoye, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defenses.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled nine enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Andreevka and Kleshchievka, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve its tactical position.
In the Avdeevsky direction, defenders repelled 14 attacks of the occupiers in the areas of the settlements of Berdichi, Orlovka, Tonenkoye, Pervomaiskoye, Nevelskoye in the Donetsk region. The Russians carried out air strikes in the areas of the settlements of Novoaleksandrovka, Progress, Novobakhmutovka, Berdichi, Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to contain the enemy in the Pobeda, Krasnohorivka, Novomikhailovka areas of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense 18 times.
In the Orekhovsky direction, the Russians attacked the positions of our defenders six times in the areas of the settlements of Robotino and west of Verbovoy, Zaporozhye region.
During the day, Defense Forces aircraft carried out strikes on 10 areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated. The missile force units destroyed three electronic warfare stations, including two R-330Zh Zhitel and enemy ammunition.
Let us remind you that over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liquidated 880 occupiers. The total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 422,310 military personnel.
According to British intelligence, Russian army losses in February reached a record since the beginning of a full-scale war. The occupiers lost an average of 983 people killed and wounded per day.
