[Regnum] The North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) troop group near the Russian border numbers up to 33 thousand people, about 300 tanks and more than 800 other combat vehicles. This was announced by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at a meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Defense on April 23.
“The entry of Sweden into the North Atlantic Alliance in early March increased military-political tension in the Western and North-Western strategic directions. Today, the NATO reinforcement force at our borders numbers up to 33 thousand people, about three hundred tanks and more than eight hundred other armored combat vehicles,” the head of the Defense Ministry informed.
