Suspected Turkish bombing sparks fire in Ranya |

[Rudaw] An unidentified aircraft bombed several locations near Ranya town on Friday, sparking a wildfire. Media affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) blamed ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... The unidentified aircraft hit several locations in Ranya’s Sarkapkan subdistrict, north of Dukan Lake. Hemin Abdullah, the mayor of Sarkapkan, told Rudaw that there were no casualties. "A fighter jet came and hovered over the area for nearly 15 minutes and hit the area twice," a resident of Sarkapkan told Rudaw. Rojnews, a media outlet affiliated with the PKK, reported that the ![]() KABOOM!... was carried out by Turkey and that the attack sparked fire nearby several villages. The Ottoman Turkish government did not immediately comment on the airstrike but its defense ministry said their air forces hit PKK fighters on Mount Metina in Duhok province. Ottoman Turkish aerial forces on June 7 bombed Mount Metina, causing a fire. |
