| #20 The IDF would have pretty much cleared 98% of Hamas by now if not for the Biden Admin which at first delayed the ground attack and since has been preventing larger offensives. Of course still about 80% of Hamas has been destroyed. Also, there will still need to be a day of reckoning for intel and ops failures leading up to Oct 7. |

| #16 Cut off the head of the snake. Iran is the real issue. We should have attacked them long ago. Even Iran is small potatoes compared to Russia. It all starts there. That's why we've invested so wisely in attritting Russian capability in Ukraine. So that when the big war comes, they'll be weak and all we have to do is collapse the whole rotten structure. |

| #10 Agree with #4 above During the war in Viet Nam the US sent "tunnel rats" throughout a III Corps region that was long controlled by the Viet Cong and honeycombed with tunnels. I believe that the TR not only booby-trapped the tunnels, but when found engineers clouded tunnels with a kind of itching compound that made their continued use untenable. Finally, although the extent of tunnels surprised the Israelis they are mapping what they have found. To render the entire complex 'safe' will take time. But it can be done. It will succeed when it has forced Hamas above ground. |

| #4 This opinion writer still doesn’t get it. Thinks Israel is losing because of the tunnels NO you stupid! There are no civilians in Gaza. Every Muslim in Gaza (and worldwide) thinks Israel has no right to exist even on land the size of a postage stamp If there are “civilians” in Gaza then there are Hamas in Gaza The only option is to resettle ALLthe muslims of gaza into Egypt and remove their UN “refugee” status of palestinians resettled |

Because for decades they pretended that Islam is not the problem When islam is the problem So all that interfaith crap just enabled Islamist propaganda to grow sympathy and lobby networks in the west, in student movements where it appealed to the Left and to indigenous de-colonial movements They spread fake history painting the arab muslims of gaza as “pakestinians” a displaced ethnic minority, britain stole their land and gave it to the jews Nothing much was done to counter this It is still going on now Israel has been delegitimised by fake history spreaders And secondly - Israel botched the Oct 7 response Should have given up on the hostages for dead on October 8 and carpet bombed then driven all survivors into Egypt Orphaned kids under 12 taken and raised as Jews in loving jewish families. That had to be done within 7 days to prevent the propaganda industry getting into full swing. It would be over now, with gaza part of israel and the muslims never to return |
