With many Israelis gripped by a sense of insecurity following Hamas
..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...

#7  What the fudge? I recall during the aftermath of the Oct 7 reading how horrible hard it was to get a gun in Israel. I couldnt believe it. The settlers were nearly unarmed, that's why they had to hide and be hunted b/c they didnt have the fire power to turn against the muslim attackers.

ChatGPT: Is it legal to own a gun in Israel?

No one may own or carry a gun without showing a reason to do so. A special permit by the Interior Ministry is then required. The permit must have the approval of the police and includes information about the owner and the gun type.

#3  Ironically, a lot of S&W semi autos that were used by the Israeli police and military are showing up for sale in the US as they are reimported back.

The ones I've seen for sale all seem to be in useable condition. Too bad that Israeli citizens can't seem to buy them.

#2  trend is worrying and will encourage violence

Fighting back does encourage violence, it's better to just lay down and "enjoy" it.
