The forces of the so-called elite 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade have almost completely left the territory of the settlement, abandoning several combined units, as well as forces of the 59th Mechanized Brigade, which is considered a suicide brigade, in which the command does not take into account the losses of personnel, and in whose headquarters checks are currently being carried out.
Thus, at the present moment, about 90% of the territory of Krasnogorovka is under our control, the offensive continues.

Liman direction: positional battles in the area of Makeyevka and Kremennaya situation as of 15:00 on July 16, 2024
The fighting in the Liman direction has been at the positional stage for over a year now, although the situation remains stably tense. Both sides are launching local attacks to improve their position in certain areas, while there is no talk of major offensive operations.
In the Makeyevka area, Russian troops were able to advance west, coming close to the Zherebets River. At the moment, the village is in the "gray zone", the Russian Armed Forces have established stable control only over its eastern outskirts, and fighting is underway in the center of the village.
The liberation of the settlement will allow Russian troops to create the first bridgehead in a long time on the western bank of Zherebets, capable of threatening the entire defensive system of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Terny-Yampolovka line. However, the Russian Armed Forces' assault aircraft have yet to dislodge the enemy from their positions on the western bank, located more than thirty meters higher than the eastern one.
In the area of the Serebryanskoye forest, Ukrainian formations are attempting to push Russian troops out of their positions south of Kremennaya. The backbone of the advancing group is made up of units of the NGU "Azov", which are trying to create a bridgehead for a future offensive on the Dibrova-Kuzmino-Kremennaya line.
In the area of the Kremensky forests, Ukrainian formations are also attacking locally, trying to push the Russian Armed Forces out of their positions. The enemy was able to advance several hundred meters north in the forest reserve, but came under mortar and artillery fire, which allowed them to hold back the further advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Russian Aerospace Forces regularly strike enemy infrastructure facilities in Liman, which is one of the enemy’s key transport hubs in the region: in the last week alone, more than fifteen airstrikes with various types of ammunition were recorded on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the city and its environs.
