Russian strategy of making their opponent burn through all their ammo. Darwinian, too: the ones who survive are more likely to be easily trained. A better strategy when the nation has excess population to burn off — much more dangerous to long term survival when the population has already been falling for the better part of a generation. |

| #1 A lot of Russian men are illiterate or addicts or obese (sadly this is true of USA, UK, France, etc.) so I'm not sure if the 150k goal was met with men who will make good soldiers. |
