Agency after agency has "one mission, but..." is more interested in doing things that have absolutely NOTHING to do with whatever their "one mission" is supposed to be. Secret Service is about guarding Presidents and other high-value entities, not "righting the wrongs of patriarchal society" or other such nonsense. Ditto for armed forces--their mission is to break stuff and win wars, not social engineering. CDC? *Diseases*, not "gun control" or "poor diet". |
