#8 Going to try to break down the 'Weird' campaign, because it is the other edge of the knife.
For the past 10 years at least, Keep It Weird has been a counter-culture rally cry: Keep Portland Weird, Keep San Francisco Weird, etc. So why are Harris' Advertisers now using it as an insult, other than the latest firmware update?
By implying their behavior is the normal, with your permission, calling others weird makes a straw man. He isn't weird, he is a goal oriented person. He isn't weird, he just believes in service and family. So on. And if people are rushing to that defense, they are not point at how weird the leftist sales package is. It is an actual Disney advertising technique. When some behind the scenes footage of the Snow White remake was leaked, they went and called the original characters weird to try and lower its status so the remake looked better. Star Wars, their recent stuff has been absolute shit, so they went back and called the extras casting in the original 3 weird. But Billy Dee Williams, the defenders flocked to, thus leaving self impregnating l#sb1an space witches unchecked. Aren't the prequel character stereotypes weird, sending off other fans to its defense so Mark Hammil and the Princess Warriors chapters are left alone.
I read somewhere that it is akin to throwing sticks with a dog, and there is absolute truth to that. I'd add, while trying to break into the house. It distracts and wears out the dog, when the dog should be focused on guarding the door. Don't chase sticks. |
