"The Air Defense Forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces were able to shoot down an American drone type MQ9 while it was carrying out hostile acts in the airspace of Saada Governorate, with a locally made surface-to-air missile," Yemen’s military front man brigadier general Yahya Sare’e said in a statement on Sunday.

He added, " Within the fourth stage of escalation related to the area of maritime operations, the naval forces and the missile forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a joint military operation in which they targeted the "Groton" ship in the Gulf of Aden with a number of ballistic missiles, and the hit was accurate, thanks to Allah."
He noted the ship was targeted because the company that owns it violated the decision to ban entry to the ports of occupied Paleostine.
