Tim Scott marries in South Carolina
2024-08-05
[MSN] Congrats to both. Now what about Miss Lindsey?
Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) tied the knot with fiancée Mindy Noce in a ceremony over the weekend in South Carolina.

The pair exchanged vows on Saturday at Seacoast Church in Charleston, nearly eight months after the South Carolina senator proposed to Noce, an interior designer, The Post and Courier reported.

"Tonight, we promised to cherish and nourish each other and our marriage for the rest of our lives. Mindy, you’ve made me the happiest man alive. I love you," Scott wrote Saturday on X.

Posting two photos from the ceremony, Scott shared a Bible verse, Matthew 19:6, that read, "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."

Close family and friends, along with former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, and Sens. John Thune (S.D.), James Lankford (Okla.) and John Barrasso (Wyo.) were in attendance for the special day, the Post and Courier reported.

Fox News host and former Rep. Trey Gowdy (S.C.), who co-wrote a book with Scott in 2018, also attended the event, the Post and Courier added.

The couple began dating after meeting via church, Scott said, where they bonded over bible study. During his brief presidential campaign last year, the senator often declined to comment about his personal life until last September, when he revealed he did have a "special someone."
