Disclosure:

I use an I-7 14700F processor on my main Windows rig. I couldn't be happier.

#5  My view of the reasons for Intel's downfalling is not politically correct at all. Not even rantburg correct.

#4  Andrew Grove was one of the greats. Joined Intel in 1968 when its revenue was about $3k and left as CEO 30 years later when its revenue was about $20 billion. Always could manage both the details and the strategy. Even the final years as CEO he continued to have, as his office, a standard 9' by 8' cubicle (although he was on the road a lot). He stayed on the board of directors for a few more years but eventually retired completely in 2004 or so.

Many say INTEL lost sight of its tech vision long ago and when $$$$.

Btw: Grab a shareware program called SPECCY to see what temp, a system is running at.
