Campus watch: Will Kamala Mimic Shafik? |
2024-08-19 |
[NYPOST] Minouche Shafik's resignation as Columbia University's president reflects ''the left's broad refusal to confront'' its radical, anti-Israel ''insurgents,'' naively thinking the ''divide can be ignored, bridged or papered over,'' argues The Wall Street Journal's Kimberley A. Strassel. Shafik ''tried to have it all ways,'' and ''Democrats ![]() white people, white supremacy, whiteanything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nastyto the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... are pursuing the same strategy on a national scale,'' with Team Biden similarly pandering to protesters. What Dems ''fail to appreciate is that this crowd won't be appeased by anything less than full capitulation,'' including an ''end to any support for Israel.'' The Coalition to March on the DNC ( If you're white you ain't right!) ...Democrat National Committee, where all those off-the-wall talking points originate... is shipping busloads of protesters to reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... ; they threaten ''to become the overriding theme'' there. How will Harris respond? ''Equivocation won't look good.'' |
