[MSN - Barron’s] Tech giant Oracle gave a big vote of confidence to nuclear power this week, sending stocks in the industry higher while simultaneously baffling experts who aren't sure how the company's plans are possible. Oracle founder Larry Ellison told investors on an earnings call Monday that his company is designing one of the largest data centers in existence; a behemoth facility that could consume more power than 300,000 homes. He also said Oracle plans to use nuclear reactors to power the facility, and is already working with a company that has "building permits" to build three small reactors.
