DW has a great discussion in this video about the exploding pagers
2024-09-18
[YouTube] Lebanese officials say at least 9 people were killed and nearly 2800 injured when pagers used by the Hezbollah militant group exploded simultaneously across the country.
Fourteen minutes long.

#4  If I were a betting man:

For example, Starlink’s high-speed data links could stream real-time video footage from drones or other crewless aerial vehicles, allowing military commanders to make more informed decisions on the battlefield – live.

One of the main advantages of Starlink in a war scenario is its ability to provide a reliable and resilient communications network. In traditional warfare, enemy forces can easily disrupt terrestrial communication networks such as telephone lines and cellular networks.

However, with Starlink, communication can be maintained even if traditional networks are destroyed or rendered inoperable. This is because Starlink operates in space, outside the reach of ground-based weapons and other forms of interference.

#3  My understanding is the pagers were actually made in Hungary-not a particularly supporting nation for Hezbollah, Hamas, Iran or Radical Islamists!

#2  ^To me there's another argument - Mossad may intercept shipments, they don't have personnel to open 5000 pagers, insert explosives and close them in untraceable fashion.
