It is estimated that Safi al-Din was on the territory of the complex at the time of the strike. The publication noted that it is currently unknown what the shelling of the Shiite movement's positions led to.
As reported by Regnum, on the evening of October 2, the Israel Defense Forces said it had carried out a "precision" strike on Beirut, attacking the Bashoura neighborhood in the center of the Lebanese capital. According to the Lebanese Health Ministry, the strike killed nine people and injured 14 others. As reported by Sky News Arabia, the target of the attack in central Beirut was a medical center affiliated with Hezbollah.
