Hershey [PA] Cuts Full-Year Sales Outlook As Americans Dial Back On Snack Consumption
2024-11-08
[[ZeroHedge] Cash-strapped consumers had no joy and happiness in the third quarter as they dialed back spending on chocolate and salty snacks produced by Hershey Co. The company slashed its net sales growth and earnings outlook after consumers balked at rising retail snack prices due to soaring cocoa costs.

Hershey reported third-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $2.34, missing the $2.56 forecast held by analysts tracked by Bloomberg. Salty snack sales in the quarter plummeted in the US, while candy sales were marginally higher.
No mention of the March 2023 Hershey’s “Her for She” campaign that included transgender activist Fae Johnstone — the redheaded person who is equally unattractive whether dressing up as male or female, poor thing — as one of the five women featured in the ads for International Women’s Day. Because really, men are so much better at being women than women are. That was when I cut Hershey’s chocolate out of my life, and I’ve mostly stuck with it since.

#3  Wonder if sales dropped in states that are really keen on killing babies. At a certain point the Halloween business has got to drop.

#2  Yeah, well, maybe people don't want to pay twice as much for half a 2020 snack.

Biden/Harris so bad, Hershey Kisses are now called Pecks.
