[Korrespondent] Ukrainian Armed Forces Contain Russian Attacks in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.
The enemy has again concentrated on the Pokrovsky direction. The defense forces have repelled 22 Russian attacks, eight combat clashes are still ongoing.
Since the beginning of the current day, 114 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Ukrainian troops are repelling the Russian offensive in 10 directions and in the Kursk region. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a report as of 16:00 on Thursday, November 21.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, the Russians stormed the positions of Ukrainian units in the Volchansk area six times. The fighting continues.
In the Kupyansk direction, the occupiers attacked 12 times in the areas of Petropavlovka, Kolesnikovka, Zagryzovoye and Lozovaya. Five clashes are ongoing.
In the Liman direction, the invading army also carried out 12 attacks near Tverdokhlebovoye, Novoegorovka, Grekovka, Terny, Torskoye and in the Serebryansky forest. 10 battles have ended, two more are ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked twice near Chasovy Yar and Stupochki. The battle is currently ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the aggressor attempted four times to penetrate the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defenses in the areas of the settlements of Toretsk and Shcherbinovka.
In the Pokrovsky direction, Russian invaders made 30 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Mirolyubovka, Promenya, Lisovka, Petrovka, Mlechnoye and Pustynka. The defense forces repelled 22 enemy attacks, eight combat contacts are still ongoing.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, the enemy army carried out 21 attacks near Berestki, Solntsovka, Zarya, Kurakhovo, Dalnee, Yekaterinovka and Antonovka. Nine assaults were repelled. The fighting continues.
In the Vremivsky direction, there were seven enemy attacks in the direction of Trudovoye, Konstantinopolskoye, Razliv, Sukhi Yal and near Novodarovka. Three battles are still ongoing.
In the Orekhov direction, occupation forces once stormed the positions of the Defense Forces near Pyatikhatki.
An enemy attack is being repelled in the Dnieper direction.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces operation in the Kursk region is also ongoing. Since the beginning of the day, Russian aircraft have carried out 15 strikes of the 22nd UAB on their own territory. Our soldiers have repelled 11 assaults. The fighting continues.
Let us recall that on November 20, the Russian army lost more than 1,500 fighters in one day. Since the beginning of the Great War, Russian losses amount to almost 730 thousand people killed and wounded.
