| [NYPOST] FBI special agents arrested embattled Boston councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson for an alleged kickback scheme in which she pocketed thousands in cash from a staffer in exchange for a large bonus Fernandes Anderson was seen being taken into custody by federal authorities outside of her home in Dorchester on Friday morning, WCVB reported. She is expected to appear in court later this afternoon. In late 2022, the councilor hired a relative to be on her staff and then defrauded the city when she finagled a deal with the staffer to receive ''additional compensation but would kickback most of this bonus pay,'' according to a court filing by the US Attorney's Office in Massachusetts. |

From her website: Tania Fernandes Anderson is a Cape Verdean-born American politician and non-profit executive who is a member of the Boston City Council for the 7th district. A Democrat, she was elected in 2021 to succeed Kim Janey and represents Roxbury, Dorchester and part of the South End. She is the first practicing Muslim elected to the Council. Wikipedia claims she came here illegally at age ten, got American citizenship in 2019 — at age 40. I assume that’s when she decided to enter politics. |

| #1 The feds arrested a female Democratic pol for corruption? And in Boston, no less! She is a member of at least two protected classes, so we gotta ask "Whose shitlist did she get on?" First guess: she got greedy and forget to make tithes and tributes to the appropriate parties. |
