[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are waging fierce battles in the east and south of Ukraine.
More attacks were recorded in the Kurakhovsky direction in the area of ​​five settlements. Currently, 13 battles are ongoing there.
Since the beginning of the day, 138 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Most of the battles were recorded in the Kurakhovsky, Pokrovsky and Vremivsky directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a report as of 16:00 on Thursday, December 12.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, the enemy stormed the areas of Volchansk, Glubokoe and Staritsa four times. Currently, one battle is underway.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russians tried to advance near Sin'kovka, Zagryzovoy and Zapadnoye. Three clashes continue.
In the Liman direction, the enemy attacked 14 times near Kopanki, Novoegorovka, Lozovaya, Nadezhda, Makeyevka, Terny and in the Serebryansky forest. Five attacks are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled six attempts by the occupiers to advance forward in the area of ​​Chasovy Yar and in the direction of Stupochki and Belaya Gora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy twice tried to displace our units from their positions in the Toretsk region. The battle is currently underway.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 30 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Mirolyubovka, Promen, Lisovka, Dachenskoye, Novy Trud, Peschanoye, Shevchenko and Mlechnoye. The defense forces repelled 24 attacks. Six battles are still ongoing.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, the invaders attacked 37 times near Solntsevka, Starye Terny, Kurakhovo, Dalnee and Uspenovka. 24 assaults have already been repelled. 13 battles are still ongoing.
In the Vremivsky direction, the enemy 24 times attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Sukhi Yal, Konstantinopolskoye, Razdolnoye, Neskuchnoye and Novodarovka. 11 combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Orekhov direction, our soldiers repelled an attack in the direction of Novodanilovka.
Nine enemy attacks have been repelled in Kursk region , and seven more clashes are ongoing.
