2024-12-19 |
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, announced on Tuesday his readiness to establish a demilitarized zone in Ain al-Arab (Kobani) and deploy security forces under American supervision and presence. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Abdi explained that the proposal aims to address Ottoman Turkish concerns and ensure lasting stability in the region. The Manbij area, which has an Arab majority in northeastern Aleppo province, is controlled by the Manbij Military Council, composed of local fighters operating under the umbrella of the SDF, with the Kurds being its backbone and supported by the US. |
