Earlier, Qatari Foreign Ministry front man Majed al-Ansari announced that ''a Qatari diplomatic delegation arrived in Damascus to complete the necessary procedures for opening the Qatari embassy.''
Al-Ansari added that the delegation renewed, during its meetings with the interim government in Syria, ''the State of Qatar's full commitment to supporting the Syrian people.''
