Through the joint efforts of several units of the Defense Forces, two T-80 tanks and nine infantry fighting vehicles were destroyed, and one MT-LB, one armored personnel carrier, and eight infantry fighting vehicles were hit.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Defense Forces stopped the enemy's mechanized offensive, and also hit and destroyed 21 enemy armored vehicles. This was reported by the press service of the OSGV Khortytsia on Thursday, December 19.
Thus, on December 18, the enemy attempted to expand the bridgehead near the Oskol River. The enemy advanced in two columns of armored vehicles in two directions. However, the units of the Defense Forces did not allow the enemy to advance.
"As a result of the coordinated work of the units: the battalion of the shock BPAK Achilles of the 92nd separate assault brigade named after Koshevoy Ataman Ivan Sirko, paratroopers of the 77th separate airmobile Dnieper brigade and guards of the 1st Presidential operational brigade named after Hetman Petro Doroshenko Borey - 21 units of enemy armored vehicles were hit and destroyed," the statement said.
As specified, in particular, two T-80 tanks and nine infantry fighting vehicles were destroyed, one MT-LB, one armored personnel carrier and eight infantry fighting vehicles were damaged.
The press service also noted that, through the joint efforts of several units of the Defense Forces, the enemy’s mechanized offensive in the Kupyansk direction was repelled.
Let us recall that the General Staff reported that the enemy’s total combat losses from 24.02.22 to 19.12.24 were approximately 768,220 (1,530) people.
