[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are engaged in heavy fighting in the east of Ukraine and in the Kursk region.
In the Kursk region, 47 armed clashes have already been recorded since the beginning of the day. Currently, Ukrainian troops are repelling 18 attacks.
Since the beginning of the current day, 103 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Almost half of the battles are taking place in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a report as of 16:00 on Thursday, December 19.
Thus, in the Kupyansk direction, the Russians tried to advance four times in the area of ​​Lozovaya and Kolesnikovka. Three attacks were repelled, one combat clash continues.
In the Liman direction, seven armed clashes occurred near Tverdokhlebovoye, Zeleny Gai, Terny and in the Serebryansky forest. One armed clash is still ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy was advancing in the areas of Belogorovka, Grigorovka and Verkhnekamenskoye. In total, seven attacks were repelled, and another battle is ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy once attacked in the area of ​​Chasovy Yar.
In the Toretsk direction, the invaders tried to advance eight times in the Toretsk and Shcherbinovka areas. Three attacks were successfully repelled, five combat clashes are ongoing.
The enemy remains highly active in the Pokrovsk direction . There have been 10 clashes of varying intensity near the settlements of Sukhaya Balka, Mirolyubovka, Promen, Lisovka, Dachenskoye, Solenoye and Novovasilovka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled nine attacks, and another battle is ongoing.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, three assaults near Solntsevka, Starye Terny, Andreyevka, Kurakhove and Dachnoye have been repelled. Five more clashes are ongoing.
In the Vremivsky direction, the aggressor attacked 10 times in the areas of Uspenovka, Konstantinopolskoye, Blagovatnoye, Neskuchnoye and Novodarovka. Three attacks were repelled, and seven more battles are ongoing.

Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky stated that the Russians have been conducting intensive offensive operations in Kursk region for several days now. Units of the DPRK army are actively used there.
And today, during a direct line, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin refused to name a specific date for the return of part of the Kursk region.
