[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are waging fierce battles in the east and south of Ukraine.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the Russians organized 17 attacks in the areas of eight settlements. Eight clashes are still ongoing.
Since the beginning of the current day, 48 combat clashes have occurred on the front. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 16:00 on Wednesday, January 15.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, one armed clash occurred near Tikhyi.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russians attacked twice in the area of ​​the settlements of Topolia and Petropavlovka. The battle is currently ongoing.
In the Liman direction, the invaders carried out 12 attacks near the settlements of Kopanki, Novosergeevka, Tverdokhlebovo, Makeyevka, Kolodtsy, Terny and Grigoryevka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are repelling two assaults.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy is attacking two locations in the Toretsk area.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the Russians organized 17 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Baranovka, Elizavetovka, Lisovka, Zelenoe, Zverevoye, Uspenovka, Andreyevka and Dachnoye. The defense forces repelled nine assaults.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy once attempted to break through the defenses in the area of ​​the settlement of Vremevka.
There were 11 armed clashes in the Kursk direction , eight of which are still ongoing.
