Also on January 18, Saria said that the Houthis are coordinating their actions with Palestinian movements and are ready to “take appropriate military measures” if Israel violates the ceasefire agreements in the Gaza Strip.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, on January 15, during negotiations between Israel and Hamas with the participation of mediators, an agreement was reached on a temporary truce in the Gaza Strip. It will be in effect for 42 days, starting on January 19.
According to media reports, the agreement will be implemented in three stages. First, the Israeli army will begin withdrawing troops from Gaza, and Hamas will release 33 hostages. In the second stage, the remaining Israeli prisoners should be released, and Israel will completely withdraw its troops from Gaza and release more than 1,000 Palestinian prisoners. In the third stage, the bodies of the dead should be exchanged, and then reconstruction work in Gaza is supposed to begin under the supervision of Egypt, Qatar and the UN.
Russia hopes that the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli authorities will lead to stabilization of the situation in the Gaza Strip, President Vladimir Putin said on January 17.
