Some Progress in Containment of Palisades, Eaton wild fires |

As Los Angeles residents shift from emergency to recovery mode after the pair of devastating wildfires, crews are well on their way to full containment of the blazes. According to the latest numbers released by Cal Fire, crews had 73% containment on the Eaton Fire as of 12:40 p.m. Saturday. The fire, which scorched much of Altadena and parts of Sierra Madre, has destroyed nearly 9,000 structures. As for the Palisades Fire, containment was at 43% as of 11:39 a.m. Saturday, according to Cal Fire. The burned acreage remained at 23,713, as it has for several days. ---------- As of this am, containment has been advanced a bit more, now 52% for Palisades and 81% for Eaton; also there is a possibility for rain in about 7 days as a low pressure will migrate down the west coast |
