[DW] Cecile Richards, the former president of abortion giant Planned Parenthood, has died at age 67.Richards announced in 2024 that she was battling glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.
"This morning our beloved Cecile passed away at home, surrounded by her family and her ever-loyal dog, Ollie," Richards’ family said in a statement released on Monday, according to NBC News. "Our hearts are broken today but no words can do justice to the joy she brought to our lives."
"We are grateful to the doctors and health care workers who provided her excellent care and the friends, family, and well-wishers who have been by her side during this challenging time," the family added.
Richards, who led Planned Parenthood from 2006 to 2018, oversaw the killing of nearly four million unborn babies, according to the non-profit Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.
In November, pro-life leader Lila Rose said she was praying for Richards’ conversion.
Pray for her soul. She needs it.
