President Trump calls Rep. Al Green a ‘low IQ individual' |
2025-03-07 |
Of Green, Trump said that the Texas congressman "should be forced to pass an IQ test because he is a low IQ individual, and we don’t need low IQ individuals in Congress." Trump also said Green was an embarrassment and called for punitive action against him. "He should be censured," the president told Fox News Digital. "Nobody takes him seriously. He is an embarrassment to Congress but a much bigger embarrassment to the Democrats." Green caused a ruckus during Trump’s speech on Tuesday night when he started yelling shortly after the president began talking. "You have no mandate," Green yelled. Republicans subsequently booed the congressman and began chanting, "U-S-A!" to muffle his outburst. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) called for order in the House, but Green kept shouting. After Green persisted and ignored the speaker’s request, Johnson asked the sergeant-at-arms to remove him from the floor. |

#5 As Senator Fetterman said: "A sad cavalcade of self owns and unhinged petulance. It only makes Trump look more presidential and restrained. We’re becoming the metaphorical car alarms that nobody pays attention to—and it may not be the winning message" |
