[Korrespondent] Ukrainian Armed Forces Contain Russian Attacks in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.
The most active fighting is currently continuing in the Toretsk direction. There are 11 clashes taking place near four populated areas.
Since the beginning of the day, 56 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Russian troops are attacking in 10 directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in an operational report as of 16:00 on Friday, March 7.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, our defenders are repelling two attacks in the Volchansk area.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy is storming not far from Zagryzovoye. One combat clash is continuing there.
In the Liman direction, the invaders advanced seven times near Grekovka, Torskoye and Novoye and in the direction of Novomikhaylovka. Three clashes continue.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy attacked twice near Belogorovka and was repulsed.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are repelling four enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Orekhovo-Vasilovka and Chasovy Yar. Two more clashes have already ended.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked 13 times near Dilievka, Druzhba, Dachnoye and Toretsk. Eleven combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have made 11 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Elizavetovka, Promin, Alekseyevka, Andreyevka and Ulakli. The defense forces repelled nine attacks, two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, two enemy attacks were repelled near Constantinople and Burlatskoye.
In the Orekhov direction, the Russians are trying to break through the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of the settlements of Stepnoye and Pyatikhatki.
In the Kursk region, our defenders repelled five attacks by Russians, and five more clashes are still ongoing.
Let us recall that in one day on October 6, the Ukrainian Armed Forces "minus" more than 1,100 Russians. The total losses of the aggressor country Russia will cross the line of 900 thousand killed and wounded this month.
