#5 Saw an article last year I think, lithium filtered from fracking water in the state of MI would exceed the USs annual need. And it’s clean. Haven’t really seen anything on it since. |

#1 "Rare Earths" aren't actually that rare, and they can be found outside of China. However mining and refining these elements is environmentally messy and thus economically not a viable business in the west. |
