The Russian troops are attacking Ukrainian defenders most intensively in the Pokrovsk direction. During the day, the enemy carried out 36 offensive actions.
Since the beginning of the day, there have been 86 combat clashes on the front. Russian troops used 704 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,519 shellings of populated areas and positions of our troops. This was reported in the General Staff report on Sunday, April 20.
One enemy attack was repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Kupyansk direction, in the Golubovka area.
Eleven assault actions of the invaders were stopped by Ukrainian soldiers near the settlements of Nadiya, Mirnoye, Grekovka, Katerynivka, Novoye and Yampolovka in the Liman direction. One combat clash continues to this day.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy carried out two offensive actions in the area of ​​Belogorovka and Ivano-Daryevka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders repelled four attempts by the invaders to advance forward in the area of ​​Chasovy Yar and in the direction of Stupochki and Belaya Gora.
In the Toretsk direction, the occupiers today stormed the positions of our defenders eight times near Druzhba, Toretsk and Leonidovka. The defense forces are steadfastly holding back the onslaught and have repelled seven assaults, two clashes are still ongoing.
The enemy is intensively attacking Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk direction. During the day, the enemy carried out 36 offensive actions. The activity of Russian occupiers was recorded in the areas of the settlements of Sukhaya Balka, Mirolyubovka, Elizavetovka, Lisovka, Kotlino, Udachnoye, Novoaleksandrovka, Uspenovka, Preobrazhenka, Andreyevka and Razliv. Four clashes are still ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, today in this direction our soldiers eliminated 131 occupiers and wounded 121. A cannon, four UAVs, five UAV control posts and 10 vehicles were destroyed. A tank and three vehicles of the occupiers were also significantly damaged.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, Ukrainian units repelled five attacks in the area of ​​Constantinople, Skudnoye and in the direction of Otradnoye.
In the Orekhov direction, the Russian invaders advanced four times on the positions of our defenders in the areas of Malaya Tokmachka, Malye Shcherbaki and Stepovoye.
The enemy did not conduct active offensive operations in the Kharkov , Gulyai-Polye and Dnieper directions.
In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 attacks by the invaders. The enemy launched 163 artillery attacks on populated areas and positions of the Defense Forces, including 16 from multiple launch rocket systems.
At the same time, there were no significant changes in the situation in other areas.
The General Staff recognized the soldiers of the 40th separate coastal defense brigade, who are effectively resisting the enemy.
Let us recall that the total combat losses of Russian troops from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine until April 20, 2025 amount to about 941,100 people, including 950 people in the last 24 hours .
