When we were actually with you, we gave you this principle to work on: “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.” Now we hear that you have some among you living quite undisciplined lives, never doing a stroke of work, and busy only in other people’s affairs. Our order to such men, indeed our appeal by the Lord Jesus Christ, is to settle down to work and eat the food they have earned themselves. |

| #10 I read these words just yesterday in an article posted here on Rantburg, America needs labor. That’s not up for debate. We’ve raised a few generations of kids who are not equipped for hard, uncomfortable work—especially those who came of age during the pandemic. I remember commenting that if they get hungry, they'll work. I guess she's not hungry enough yet. |

| #6 ....I seem to remember that my immigrant forebears - the Kozlowskis and Szelminskis from Poland, the Carpentieres and Alleruzzos from Italy -came here EXPECTING to work their backsides off to provide for their families, for as long as it took to make it. Of course, those families didn't have NGOs telling them that you can walk over the border and everything will be taken care of forever. Go figure. Mike |
