| Three blasts rock Moscow business district as car explodes in shopping mall car park |

Videos posted by various Russian media outlets showed black smoke billowing among the district's skyscrapers on the banks of the Moskva River. The cause of the explosion and whether anyone was in the vehicle at the time is unclear, with media reports suggesting it could have been a car explosion or a fuel cylinder accident. Emergency services have now put out the ensuing fire. But the SHOT news outlet have reported that the three loud explosions heard were due to fuel cylinders that exploded under 'strong pressure'. Authorities are investigating the explosions, but initial reports say they aren’t ruling out sabotage or terrorism. The underground parking lot where the explosion took place is in the Moscow City business district. The incident took place just a day after a blast occurred at a Russian ammunition depot east of Moscow. Russia's military blamed the blast on ammunition which had detonated after the storage building caught fire due to a "violation of safety requirements". There were no casualties in the incident, but the site is believed to be a key ammunition storage site for the Russian army. 'The Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the city of Moscow received a message about a fire on Presnenskaya Embankment,' the Ministry of Emergency Situations said after the initial explosion. 'A car is burning in the underground parking lot of an administrative building.' Moscow has been targeted by car bombings and attacks since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.
