[Regnum] The suspect in the murder of Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik, has confessed. The corresponding video was published by the Public Relations Center (PRC) of the FSB of Russia.
The service published a video recording of the interrogation of the detained agent of the Ukrainian special services Ignat Kuzin. He said that he was recruited in 2023 in the Kiev region, after which he went to Russia. There, on the instructions of his curator, Kuzin lived in an apartment rented by the special services in the Moscow region from November 2024, and also bought a Volkswagen car.
According to the detainee, one day the curator ordered him to take a cache with a bomb, which he had placed on a car he had bought earlier. He also installed a video camera, with the help of which the curator detonated the charge remotely at the right moment.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, Moskalik was killed on the morning of April 25 in Balashikha, Moscow Region. A car exploded near his house. According to preliminary data, the explosive device was filled with shrapnel. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article on murder.
The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov stated that the Kiev regime, despite the ongoing peace talks, remains involved in terrorist activities on the territory of the Russian Federation, thereby demonstrating its essence. The improvised explosive device (IED), from the explosion of which the deputy chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik, died, consisted of TNT blocks, bolts and nails, according to a video by the Russian FSB, filmed at the scene.
