Netanyahu says the ‘supreme goal’ of the war is victory, not the return of the hostages |
2025-05-02 |
Bringing home the hostages is part of the victory, not the whole of it. [IsraelTimes] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says there is a “superior objective” to bringing the hostages home in the war against Hamas.“We have many goals, many goals in this war. We wantto bring all our hostages home, we’ve brought back so far 147 alive, and 196 total,” says Netanyahu in his comments at the annual Bible Contest in Jerusalem to mark Independence Day. “There are another up to 24 alive, 59 total, and we want to return the living and the dead. It’s a very important goal. War has a supreme goal. The supreme goal is victory over our enemies, and this we will achieve.” |

#7 In a way, Exist Strategy works too. How goes the war in Afghanistan? Oh, ten years on, still exists. |

#4 and what is 'victory'? I must be hanging around with the Americans too much. I thought 'victory' and 'exist strategy' were the same thing. |

#3 ^Destroying as much infrastructure and killing as many Gazans (they are all Hamas) as possible under current circumstances. |

#2 and what is 'victory'? 60% of Hamas killed; probably been achieved 75%; probably achievable by the end of 2025 95%: probably at least 3 years away Gaza administered by 100% non Hamas officials. Gaza administered by mostly non Hamas officials. Gaza administered by some Hamas but mostly non Hamas officials. |
