[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are engaged in heavy fighting in the east and south of Ukraine.
The enemy troops are most active in the Pokrovsk direction. There, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already repelled 19 assaults.
Since the beginning of the day, 93 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Russian invaders are trying to advance in 12 directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in an operational report as of 16:00 on Wednesday, May 7.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, the aggressors have launched assaults six times near the settlements of Volchansk, Volchanskie Khutor and Kamyanka. Four armed clashes are currently ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked three times near Glushkovka and Novaya Kruglyakovka.
In the Liman direction, the Russians advanced nine times near the settlements of Kopanki, Grekovka and Kolodezi, as well as towards Redkodub, Novy Mir, Olgovka. Three clashes are still ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped six enemy assaults near Verkhnekamyansky and Belogorovka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders are currently repelling two attempts by the occupiers to advance near Belaya Gora and Chasovy Yar. Four combat clashes have been successfully completed.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked eight times near Shcherbinovka and Toretsk, as well as in the direction of Dilievka. One clash continues to this day.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the occupiers carried out 24 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Malinovka, Lisovka, Kotlino, Zverevo, Udachnoye, Novosergeevka, Novoalexandrovka, Nadeyevka, Bogdanovka, Andreyevka, as well as in the directions of the settlements of Bogatyr, Alekseyevka, Novaya Poltavka, Kotlyarovka. The defense forces repelled 19 attacks. Five clashes are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, our soldiers repelled 12 attacks near Constantinople, Novosyolka, Volnoye Pole and in the direction of Novopol, Bogatyr, Otradnoye. One combat clash continues to this day.
In the Gulyai-Polye direction , one attempt by the invaders to advance forward near Vysokoye was successfully stopped. At the same time, the invaders carried out airstrikes on Malinovka, Vysokoye and Gulyai-Polye.
In the Orekhov direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped four assaults near Stepovoye and Kamyanskoye.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy made one attempt to advance forward, but was unsuccessful.
In the Kursk direction, our defenders repelled eight Russian attacks. Another clash is still ongoing.
Let us recall that in the course of 24 hours on May 6, Russia lost almost 1,300 fighters killed and wounded. The total number of Russian losses is approaching 1 million people.
