According to police, the officers covertly reached the area where the suspect was and identified him as armed. The officers opened fire, killing the wanted man. A handgun and cash were found on his body, and a tactical vest was found in his car, police say. Another wanted Palestinian was detained by the forces in the area and handed over to the Shin Bet for questioning, the statement says. During the operation, troops opened fire on Palestinians hurling explosives and shooting at the forces. No Israeli forces were hurt, the statement adds. The suspect turned himself in to the officers, the police, IDF, and Shin Bet say in a joint statement.
