[Korrespondent] Russian invaders are conducting active offensive actions in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlovsk directions. There are currently 16 battles going on there.
Since the beginning of the day, 80 combat clashes have already been recorded on the front. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 16:00 on Friday, May 9.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, our defenders are repelling two attacks by the aggressor in the area of ​​Volchansk. The clashes are currently continuing.
In the Liman direction, the invader's army attacked nine times near Lipovoye and in the direction of Grekovka, Novy Mir, Zelenaya Dolina. One combat clash continues.
In the Kramatorsk direction, three attempts by the occupiers to advance forward in the areas of Chasovy Yar, Belaya Gora and Kurdyumovka have been repelled, and four more clashes are ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked 10 times in the areas of Dachnoye, Dilievka, Shcherbinovka and Toretsk. Five battles are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the Russians carried out 18 assaults from positions occupied in the areas of the settlements of Aleksandropol, Novotoretskoye, Promin, Elizavetovka, Dachenskoye, Zverevo, Udachnoye, Kotlyarovka and in the direction of Novonikolayevka and Troitskoye. The defense forces repelled 13 attacks. Five clashes are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy attacked 18 times near the settlements of Bagatyr, Konstantinopol, Otradnoye, Rovnopol, Novosyolka, Volnoye Pole, Privolnoye and in the direction of Novopol, Zelenoe Pole. At present, 11 combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Orekhov direction, our defenders repelled two assaults in the areas of Malye Shcherbaki and Shcherbaki.
In the Dnieper direction, the enemy made four attempts to advance. Fighting continues in three locations.
In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian attacks. Four more clashes are ongoing.
Let us recall that in the course of 24 hours on May 8, Russia lost 1,300 fighters killed and wounded. The total number of Russian losses is approaching 1 million people.
