[Regnum] Cold weather is expected in the European part of Russia in the near future. Air temperatures will drop below May norms, said Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center.
“A pronounced spread of cold weather, negative temperature anomalies, of course, different everywhere, will be observed throughout the European territory of Russia in the coming days,” he specified in a conversation with TASS.
The weather forecaster added that in the central regions the temperature is expected to be 4-7 degrees below normal, on the Volga the temperature will be 3-4 degrees below the climatic characteristics of May. It will also get colder in the Urals and in the south of European Russia, Vilfand noted.
As reported by Regnum News Agency, according to the forecast of meteorologist, candidate of technical sciences Evgeny Tishkovets, it will be cool in Moscow until May 12. In the Moscow region, there will be a possibility of light frosts. During the daytime, the air will warm up to no more than 13 degrees. According to him, the temperature in Moscow and the Moscow region will return to normal no earlier than the final ten days of spring.
