The Russians carried out 54 airstrikes, dropped 80 KABs, attacked with kamikaze drones and shelled Ukrainian troop positions and populated areas more than 3,600 times.
Since the beginning of the day, 130 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Ukrainian defenders continue to resolutely repel the enemy's attempts to advance deep into our territory, inflicting fire damage on them. This was noted in the General Staff's report on Sunday, May 18.
In total, Russian troops carried out 54 air strikes, dropping 80 KABs. They also used 1,098 kamikaze drones to destroy the positions of our troops and populated areas, and carried out almost 3,700 attacks.
The enemy attacked four times in the Kharkov direction, in the Vovchansk area, and also carried out air strikes in the areas of the settlements of Kolodeznoye and Kamenka.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy made two attempts to attack in the direction of Novaya Kruglyakovka and was rebuffed.
In the Liman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 19 assaults on positions near the settlements of Tverdokhlebovo, Kopanki, Ridkodub, Grekovka, Torskoye and in the direction of Karpovka, Olgovka, Zelenaya Dolina and Grigoryevka. Two more clashes are ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy attacked six times near Belogorovka and Verkhnekamyansky, one combat clash remains unfinished.
Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked in the areas of Chasovy Yar, Belaya Gora, Kurdyumovka and Stupochki in the Kramatorsk direction. Ukrainian units have repelled six attacks.
Six combat clashes took place in the Toretsk direction today. The enemy tried to storm the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Toretsk, Petrovka, Ozaryanovka, Dilievka and Druzhba, two combat clashes are currently ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of this day, the enemy has attacked 44 times in the areas of the settlements Malinovka, Mirolyubovka, Elizavetovka, Lisovka, Dachenskoye, Zvirovoye, Novosergeevka, Udachnoye, Troitskoye, Alekseyevka, Andreyevka, Kotlinoe and in the directions of Zori, Shevchenko Pervy, Popovy Yar. Our defenders have repelled 40 assaults, four more clashes are still ongoing. Popov Yar, Shevchenko Pervy, Sukhoi Yar, Novoukrainka, Zaporozhye and Pokrovsk received airstrikes.
In this direction, according to preliminary data, 151 occupiers have been neutralized, 84 of whom have been irrevocably destroyed. In addition, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed four vehicles, a satellite communications system, eight shelters, 10 motorcycles, a mortar, and five UAVs.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 attacks by invaders in the areas of Konstantinopol, Bogatyr, Shevchenko, Volnoye Pole, Ravnopol, seven clashes are still ongoing. Novodarovka and Burlatskoye were hit by airstrikes.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Gulyai-Polye direction, but launched an airstrike on Gulyai-Polye.
In the Orekhov direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack in the direction of Lukyanivske. Novoandreyevka came under air strike.
In the Dnieper direction, enemy units tried to advance once, but the attack was repelled. Odradokamyanka came under air strike.
There have been 14 clashes with the Russian invaders in the Kursk direction, one of which is still ongoing. The enemy carried out 18 airstrikes, dropped 32 guided bombs, and carried out 196 artillery attacks.
The General Staff noted the soldiers of the 128th separate mountain assault Transcarpathian brigade, the 406th separate artillery brigade named after General Ensign Oleksiy Almazov, and the 27th Pechersk regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine, who effectively destroy the enemy, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment.
Let us recall that over the past 24 hours , the Russian army lost 1,130 soldiers and more than 140 units of weapons and military equipment of the occupiers. The total combat losses of the Russians from 24.02.22 to 18.05.25 amounted to approximately 973,730 people.
As reported, the names of 108,608 Russian soldiers killed during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have been established, including more than 5,000 officers.
