Aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit seven areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as Russian air defense systems.
There were 167 combat clashes on the front in 24 hours. In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 54 enemy assaults. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 18.

It is noted that yesterday the Russians carried out 75 airstrikes on the positions of the Defense Forces and populated areas of Ukraine and dropped 106 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, the enemy deployed 2,960 kamikaze drones and carried out 4,735 attacks, including 122 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The Russian army carried out airstrikes on the areas of the settlements of Bunyakine in Sumy Oblast, Kupyansk in Kharkiv Oblast, Berezove in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Kurtovka, Konstantinovka, Belitskoye, Yablunovka, Novopol in Donetsk Oblast, Novodarovka, Temirovka, Gulyaipole, Kamenskoye in Zaporizhia Oblast, and Nikolaevka in Kherson Oblast.
In the Kharkov direction, the enemy attacked three times in the area of ​​Vovchansk and in the direction of Stroyevka.
One attack by the Russian army took place in the Kupyansk direction. The defense forces repelled an enemy assault near Zagrizovoye.
In the Liman direction, the enemy attacked 24 times, trying to advance near the settlements of Novoegorovka, Lozovaya, Ridkodub, Grekovka, Katerinovka, Yampolivka and Zelenaya Dolina.
In the Seversky direction, in the areas of Belogorovka and Verkhnekamyansky, the Russians attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops 10 times.
In the Kramatorsk direction, eight offensive actions of the Russian army were recorded near Chasovy Yar, Kurdyumovka and in the direction of Predtechnoye, Stupochki and Belaya Gora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 14 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Ozaryanovka, Dilievka and Druzhba.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 54 assault and offensive actions of the Russian army in the areas of the settlements of Staraya Nikolaevka, Yablunovka, Vozdvizhenka, Novaya Poltavka, Mirolyubovka, Elizavetovka, Promen, Novosergeevka, Troitskoye and Andreevka.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 23 times near Constantinople, Bogatyr, Volnoye Pole, Ravnopol, Novopol, Zeleny Pole and in the direction of Komar.
In the Orekhov direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy assaults in the areas of Shcherbaki, Stepovoye and Malye Shcherbaki.
In the Dnieper direction the enemy carried out two offensive actions, without success.
There were 14 combat clashes in the Kursk direction. The enemy carried out 15 airstrikes, dropped 20 guided bombs, and carried out 224 artillery attacks, including three from multiple launch rocket systems. No active offensive actions by the Russian army were recorded in the Gulyai-Polye direction.
In the Volyn and Polesie directions, no signs of the formation of offensive enemy groups were detected.
