…Even more concerning, this isn’t the first time it’s happened. This is the same Naval Shipyard another Chinese National arrested for taking photos of: The “case comes as US military bases have intercepted a growing number of Chinese nationals posing as tourists. This March, an illegal Chinese immigrant was arrested after breaching a Marine Corps base in California. In 2019, a Chinese student was sentenced to a year behind bars for taking photos at the same military base” “Authorities said Xi violated the Espionage Act” “This comes as growing concerns regarding Chinese land purchases around sensitive facilities.” |
