[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are engaged in fierce battles in the east and south of Ukraine.
The Russian invaders have concentrated a third of their attacks on the Pokrovsky direction. Seven clashes are currently ongoing there.
Since the beginning of the current day, 87 combat clashes have occurred on the front in nine directions. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 16:00 on Tuesday, May 27.
Thus, in the Kharkov direction, Ukrainian troops stopped four attacks by Russians in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk, Zapadnoye and Dolgenkoye. Another battle continues.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy twice attempted to advance in the Zagrizove area.
In the Liman direction, the aggressors attacked 14 times in the areas of Serebryansky forest, Nadiya, Novomikhaylovka, Redkodub and in the directions of Grekovka, Grigoryevka, Karpovka, Novy Mir. Seven battles are currently ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are on the defensive, repelling three enemy attempts to advance forward near Chasovy Yar, Orekhovo-Vasilyevka and towards Belaya Gora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked five times in the areas of Druzhba, Dilievka and Toretsk. One combat clash continues to this day.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attacked 28 times in the areas of the settlements of Zarya, Mirolyubovka, Malinovka, Lisovka, Zvirovo, Udachnoye, Novosergeevka, Novomikolaevka, Muravka, Kotlyarovka, Troitskoye, Bogdanovka, Andreyevka and in the directions of Yablunovka, Alekseyevka. Seven combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, our defenders repelled attacks in the areas of the settlements of Konstantinopol, Burlatskoye, Novopol, Zelenoye Pole. One combat clash continues.
Seven attacks were successfully stopped in the Orekhov direction. The enemy tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Malye Shcherbaki, Stepovoye and towards Novodanilovka.
There were 14 military clashes in the Kursk direction, two of which are still ongoing.
Let us recall that in one day on May 26, Russia lost almost 1,000 fighters killed and wounded. The total number of Russian losses is approaching 1 million people since the beginning of the great war.
