[Regnum] The Russian Su-24MR fighter caused panic on board a NATO warship by firing heat flares while flying around the vessel. The corresponding footage appeared online on Thursday, June 19.
The 'MR' designation means it is a maritime reconnaissance aircraft.
The North Atlantic Alliance ship, which presumably belongs to the US Navy, was in the Baltic Sea at the time of the incident. Suddenly, a Russian military aircraft flew over the ship at low altitude. The footage shows the emotions that the Russian fighter jet caused in English-speaking sailors.
